Transitions

As this year of the snake closes out I am so ready for the year of the horse!! This year has been the hardest ever in my personal life but in my art life it seems to have finally transistioned into taking more risks in color combos and slinging more paint as a rebel! Just a few weeks ago things were muddy but I kept pushing on. I met a new friend and we just spilled out our whole life on day one and she kindly said, "your all over the place " and it hit me like a ton, I am rightfully so, all over the place but the ah - ha was seeing it in my art also.

It amazes me how much of who we are gets found on the canvas and sometimes in the joy of the mundane of new paint and happy colors, we dont even realize it.

I have never been a resolution person but every day I strive to be better and its always in the forefront of my mind as my visions come to life in my studio. My personal life and dealing with some trauma has been scary at times but it has bought my husband and I closer and we are still going strong. Things will be quiet again for a little while longer and its perfect because it keeps art in the forefront and living life just how its supposed to be at any given time.
